Our InVision Hazard Teens wanted to put a blessing box near the picnic shelter by City Hall. We can’t thank Scott Napier and Kentucky Mountain Health Alliance for making it a reality

We value our Community Partners who are helping us make a difference .

Now we ask the community to help us keep it stocked with food, personal care items and things like socks, gloves, blankets. Things that will help our neighbors make it through the coming seasons

I could not be more proud of our interns and all they accomplished this summer. Terry Davidson, Luke Holland, Ava Little and Clint Davidson have worked diligently all summer to meet their goals, starting with the competition of the Taxi Alley Mural. They also added game boards to the tables in Peoples Park. Coming soon will be a piece of metal art built by Clint and Terry that will hang opposite the Taxi Mural in Taxi Alley, so keep an eye out for that. They helped with the Northfork Music Festival, The City of Hazard’s 4th of July celebrations and the Queen City Sparkler. Projects still in the works are increasing cigarette disposal and trash containers along Main and High Street and placing a Blessings Box at the Picnic Shelter by City Hall. They also completed a course certifying them as Community Scholars. They now have the skills to conduct research and interviews and the knowledge of how to preserve their work for the future.
Thank you to our community partners who supported their work this summer, Emily Hudson and the Southeast Kentucky African-American Museum and Cultural Center, Happy Mobelini and the City of Hazard, Scott Alexander and the Perry County Fiscal Court, John Hansen, Lucas Campbell, The Appalachian Arts Alliance, The Hazard Civic Fellowship, Joey Jones and Betsy Clemons with the Chamber of Commerce and to all the business and people who were so supportive of our Interns.

Today, our interns spent the day with the Martin County Civic Fellows learning about each others communities and programs.

And, Thanks to the Hazard Civic fellows, Dylan Carroll, Alex Combs and Kenton Dunn for hosting all of our downtown interns tonight for dinner and games. Pictured are interns with the Appalachian Arts Alliance, Edelen Renewables, Hazard Civic Fellows and InVision Hazard.
