I could not be more proud of our interns and all they accomplished this summer. Terry Davidson, Luke Holland, Ava Little and Clint Davidson have worked diligently all summer to meet their goals, starting with the competition of the Taxi Alley Mural. They also added game boards to the tables in Peoples Park. Coming soon will be a piece of metal art built by Clint and Terry that will hang opposite the Taxi Mural in Taxi Alley, so keep an eye out for that. They helped with the Northfork Music Festival, The City of Hazard’s 4th of July celebrations and the Queen City Sparkler. Projects still in the works are increasing cigarette disposal and trash containers along Main and High Street and placing a Blessings Box at the Picnic Shelter by City Hall. They also completed a course certifying them as Community Scholars. They now have the skills to conduct research and interviews and the knowledge of how to preserve their work for the future.
