Smiles are shining bright in Eastern Kentucky. 😁🪥

Today, Governor Andy Beshear showcased a new project for Kentucky's manufacturing sector in Eastern Kentucky, as ToothSure, a provider of oral hygiene products designed for patients who face barriers to standard dental care, announced plans to establish a new operation in Perry County. This $7.3 million investment will create 60 new, full-time jobs at a wage of $55.25 per hour, including benefits.

This plant will be a game changer for our community for years to come adding the additional capacity our system needs to support our existing residents and businesses, as well as the attraction of new residential and industrial growth.

We’re excited to share that Coal Fields Regional Economic Development Authority was selected for $4.2 million in funding through the Kentucky Product Development Initiative (KPDI) thanks to support from Perry, Knott, and Breathitt Counties. The City of Hazard seeks to construct a secondary water treatment plant and transmission line feeding three million gallons per day of excess water capacity directly to Coal Fields Regional Industrial Park. This project will ultimately result in the creation of a 42-acre build-ready site and increased water capacity to Coal Fields Regional Industrial Park. These upgrades will make the site in Coal Fields Regional Industrial Park more competitive to recruit and attract new, good-paying jobs to the region.
