The Special Olympics Connecticut family mourns the passing of our dear friend, longtime champion, and dedicated supporter, Susan Saint James.
As a Special Olympics Connecticut Board Member Emeritus and Co-Chair of our Capital Campaign, Susan's extraordinary generosity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our athletes made a lasting impact on our organization. Through her leadership and the annual Susan Saint James Poker Tournament, she helped raise critical funds, create opportunities, and change countless lives.
Each year, Special Olympics Connecticut proudly presents the Susan Saint James Leadership Award in her honor, recognizing individuals who embody her remarkable spirit of leadership, generosity, and dedication to our mission.
Susan's legacy extends far beyond fundraising. She believed deeply in the power of inclusion, celebrated the abilities of our athletes, and inspired others to do the same.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Susan's family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness.
