This week at HomeHaven: yoga and tai chi, one happy hour, a men's group, a needle-working group and our ANNUAL PICNIC. The office will be closed on Friday to honor Juneteenth.

Our Zoom book group is reading "Theo of Golden" for their next meeting in three weeks. New members are welcome.

This week at HomeHaven: 4 in-person coffee hours, 4 committee meetings, 3 memoir-writing groups, a book group meeting and a play reading party, one virtual happy hour, a Zoom presentation on care management, yoga, tai chi, and an orientation for new members. Come join us!

This beautiful June weather calls for lots of outdoor events. Some of our coffee hours and happy hours are moving outside. There's a homemade hard cider tasting this weekend in a member's home garden. Our annual picnic is June 17th at Edgerton Park. It's always a highlight, with lots of good food and friends.

This week at HomeHaven: 2 neighborhood Happy Hours, one neighborhood lunch, one potluck dinner, a needleworking group and a hiking group, the last yoga class until June, a presentation on the new version of the Food Pyramid, and a party for prospective members.

Today at HomeHaven, member Judy Birke will give a book talk on her recent memoir "Catching Up with Myself" at 1 pm at the Hub. Her book weaves together two time periods—Europe (1938–1941) and New York City in the late 1940s and early 1950s—tracing a family’s emigration and a child’s search for belonging in a new country. She has wonderful images and old photos to share.
