We have learned that the Board of Alders Finance Committee voted in support of a budget that retains the Office of Climate and Sustainability Director but unfortunately cuts the Deputy Director position. The loss of this essential position would jeopardize the ongoing management of revenue-generating solar projects and over $34 million in awarded grants, among many other important activities of OCS.

We ask urgently that you contact the Board of Alders ([email protected]), your Alder, and the Mayor ([email protected]) to ask them to fund this position. Please send your message ASAP, and before Friday, May 22nd if possible.
