We got a lot accomplished in the barn. We cleaned the stalls and tack. We also got some mowing done for the paper chase fundraiser this Saturday. The horses are enjoying their break week.

Day one with Peyton. We wanted to get a feel for him, plus Alison couldn’t hardly wait to get on him. We want to help Peyton transition into the lesson life and get him into a good routine. We are going to approach him like we are Mango slow and steady not to overwhelm the new guys.

🐴 Reminder 😃
This is the week we are taking off from lessons to get ready for the PaperChase. We also take off for the health of the horses so they can relax heal and continue to help teach. We hope to see you guys this Saturday to interact with the teams that come out to ride along with the good food from the Halifax VFW.

😃 Thankful Thursday 😃

We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Spicher Family for their generous donation of Jessie and Little Girl. Jim Theurer played a pivotal role in connecting us with them. Upon hearing about our mission, the Spicher Family was moved to the point of wanting their horses to contribute to healing and giving back to others, just as they had given to them. Without these two incredible horses, we would not have been able to open our doors as swiftly as we did.

Making hay for the horses. After this field, we’ll be finished mowing our first cutting. We’re hopeful to get another two cuttings. It might be a bit thicker, but we had a late freeze that stunted the growth. We didn’t lose a lot of nutrients from being late on cutting; I say we’re about three days behind due to the weather.
