Communities That Care Our mission is to enhance the quality of life within our communities by addressing community concerns & needs.

Our focus is to help bring awareness to northern Dauphin county residents on healthy beliefs in order to offer a safe & protective environment. Communities That Care (CTC) is a research-based process that helps to empower communities to tailor programs and projects that impact their specific risk factors and to work together creating positive change within their communities.

☀️ Pool Party Update ☀️
We want everyone to be able to come out and enjoy a fun and comfortable evening at the Halifax Pool. With the projected low temperatures expected tomorrow, we have decided to postpone our Pool Party for the safety and enjoyment of all participants and families.
📅 New Date: Wednesday, June 24
🕕 Time: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
📍 Location: Halifax Pool
This event is for CTC, Cool Cats, Helping Hands, Club Ophelia, and their families.

The camp will run at the elementary school library from Monday, June 22nd - Tuesday, June 23rd. We plan on going to the pool each day if the weather cooperates. We ask all students bring their swimming suits, towels, and sunscreen. The cost to get in the pool is covered through Communities That Care...

🌸 NEW & FREE! Miss Ophelia Camp 🌸
The Halifax CTC is excited to offer a brand-new opportunity for girls entering 2nd and 3rd grades for the 2026-2027 school year!
Miss Ophelia Camp is designed to help girls build friendships, develop social skills, and learn what it means to be a good friend in a fun, supportive environment. Through engaging activities, discussions, and games, campers will connect with one another while building confidence and kindness.
📅 Dates: Monday & Tuesday, June 22-23, 2026
🕘 Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
📍 Location: Halifax Elementary School Library
🏊 Each afternoon, campers will walk to the Halifax Pool from 1:00–2:30 p.m. for swimming and fun with friends. Pick-up will be at the pool at 2:30 p.m.
This camp is free of charge and is open only to girls entering 2nd and 3rd grades for the 2026-2027 school year.
