Please read on for information related to the lawsuit "Douglass v. CookUnity Inc.", a class action suit related to accessible website and mobile apps:
"Notice of Digital Accessibility Settlement Concerning www.cookunity.com
A proposed settlement has been reached that would resolve the class action lawsuit Douglass v. CookUnity Inc., Case No. 2:25-cv-01270 (W.D. Pa.). The lawsuit alleges that CookUnity violated the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 12101, et seq., by failing to take the necessary steps to ensure its website and mobile apps do not discriminate against individuals who are Blind and/or who have a Visual Disability. CookUnity strongly disagrees with the claims made in the lawsuit, but has agreed to settle this lawsuit to avoid additional cost and time with respect to the lawsuit. Under the settlement, CookUnity agrees to make its website and mobile apps accessible to individuals who are Blind and/or who have a Visual Disability. For a more complete summary of the terms of the proposed settlement, please visit https://www.cookunityADAsettlement.com. Have questions? Our member agency Sights for Hope has exciting news about C. Well Bunny. Read all about the new book and program below. And if you want a copy of the book - it's on Amazon!

🐰 👓 A NEW CHAPTER FOR C. WELL BUNNY
Finally, the big announcement! C. Well Bunny has helped nearly a generation of pre-kindergarten children learn why it is important to take care of their eyes. Now he begins a new chapter.

We are proud to introduce C. Well Sees Clearly, the first C. Well Bunny storybook and the newest addition to our C. Well Bunny Goes to School pre-kindergarten education program – one that we share with our Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB) partner agencies. We have also introduced a newly crafted C. Well Bunny puppet and updated eye safety materials. We thank PAB for its support in making this expansion of the C. Well Bunny program possible.

C. Well Sees Clearly follows C. Well as he discovers that he is having difficulty seeing clearly, receives a vision screening and eye exam, and picks out his distinctive orange glasses. Children learn along the way why taking care of their eyes is important and how seeing more clearly can help them enjoy the things they love with confidence.

Beginning today, families and C. Well fans can also find C. Well Sees Clearly on Amazon.

C. Well has a new story and a new look, but the same purpose – to help future generations build healthy habits that protect their eyesight and clearly see what’s possible ahead. 🧡

We've been asked to post information regarding the class action lawsuit regarding Pharmavite's website:
Notice of Digital Accessibility Settlement Concerning the Settling Parties’ Websites
A proposed settlement has been reached that would resolve the class action lawsuit Douglass v. Pharmavite LLC, et al, Case No. 2:25-cv-01721-MRH (W.D. Pa.). The lawsuit alleges that defendants in that suit (the “Settling Parties”) did not comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 12101, et seq., by failing to take the necessary steps to ensure their websites do not discriminate against individuals who are Blind and/or who have a Visual Disability. The Settling Parties deny the allegations in the suit, and deny any wrongdoing or liability. Under the settlement, the Settling Parties agree to Court-approved provisions designed to make their websites and any new websites they develop or acquire more accessible to individuals who are blind and/or who have a visual disability.
