The Parrothead Club of Green Bay had an absolute blast at Smashed on the Rocks Saloon in Algoma! Huge thanks to Todd Donnelly & Mr. Myers for making the trek up from Illinois and bringing the steel pan magic to the shores of Lake Michigan this afternoon.

There was a SW tropical breeze known as Banana Wind that blew into Ashwaubenon, WI last Thursday. It created a tropical atmosphere that attracted parrot heads from around the state. They feasted from food trucks while singing and dancing to Jimmy Buffett tunes sung by Jim Miller Music. Thank you Village Of Ashwaubenon for bringing the island vibe to Ashwaubomay Park! We loved it!!!!

Last night's De Pere Beer Garden event was fun for everyone! Nashville musician Mark Mulch brought the summer vibe wirh his trop rock music while the De Pere Parks, Rec & Forestry crew worked hard to keep the beer flowing, coordinating food trucks and providing the lawn games. The 50th Bellin Run is in the books! It was another great day volunteering for this great event. Thanks to all the runners who came out to run the race and thanks to all the volunteers who help make it happen. Water Station #2 rocked it! See y'all the same time next year.

Thinking of our friend Robert Greenidge today.

The Coral Reefers mourn the passing of our wonderful friend Robert Greenidge. Robert was a world renowned steel pan master, a special musician.... and an even more special human. RIP Bobby G. We extend our condolences to his beautiful family and the many many people who loved him.

The Coral Reefers sent another Spirit to the Sky this morning. Our Beloved Robert Greenidge has gone on to Gig with Jimmy and Ralph and Fingers . We will miss him and honor him and forever carry the blessings of knowing and loving him and his wonderful talents.
It is through my own tears that I remind myself and anyone reading/listening that we have the privilege of spreading joy through music. Nobody did it better than the above mentioned and we will “Keep the Party Going” just as they did all their lives.
I imagine the Heavenly Party just kicked it up a notch.

If there was one thing Jimmy Buffett loved as much as performing on stage, it was his connection to the waters of our wonderful planet. The Parrot Head Club of Green Bay (PHCGB) is proud to once again partner with the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance for their Adopt-a-Launch program. For a second year, members of PHCGB will monitor the Howard Memorial Park boat launch.

The primary objective is to check for invasive species. Situated along Duck Creek near its entrance into the Bay of Green Bay, this corridor closely links to the neighboring Fox River, Lake Winnebago, and the greater Great Lakes system. This makes Howard Memorial Park an ideal location for monitoring the transfer of invasive species between these interconnected aquatic ecosystems. Additionally, club members remove plant material from the launch area, monitor for structural damage, and complete a regular litter cleanup.
