Since 2012, David and Linda DeGroot have been dedicated champions in the fight against blood cancer. Following David’s diagnosis with B-Cell Follicular Lymphoma, the couple found hope and community through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Inspired by the support they received, they founded the non-profit Serving from the Heart, Inc. in October 2022 to expand their fundraising impact and prov

ide direct assistance to patients and families. As we look toward our 2026 goals, we aim to raise an additional $25,000 to fund life-saving research and patient advocacy. All proceeds from our signature events, including the Big Cup Golf Scramble, directly benefit Blood Cancer United and our mission to eradicate cancer. is a registered 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID: 88-4197355), and all monetary donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Serving from the Heart is excited to bring our community together for an evening of fellowship, fun, and fundraising in support of Blood Cancer United. ❤️

Come early for lawn activities, light snacks, and time with friends and family. Our short program begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a 1-mile neighborhood walk beginning around 6:45–7:00 p.m.

We had the privilege of being at the check presentations from the Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer. They donated $10,000 to Blood Cancer United - Wisconsin for the work they are doing for patients and research! Thank you Jerry and all the staff at Vandervest HD that work so hard to support all the programs in the area that are helping make sure NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE!

❤️ $200,000 DONATED. Countless lives impacted. ❤️
Today, we had the incredible honor of presenting $200,000 to 11 local cancer organizations thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, sponsors, volunteers, riders, and donors who made the 23rd Annual Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer such an incredible success. Together, we've now donated over $3 million to local organizations helping individuals and families in their fight against cancer.
This event is about so much more than motorcycles—it's about neighbors helping neighbors, honoring Jerry Parins' inspiring journey, and standing together to remind those facing cancer that no one fights alone.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who rode, volunteered, donated, sponsored, and supported this year's event. Your generosity is making a real difference in the lives of families throughout our community.
