HomewardBound of the Grand Valley

HomewardBound of the Grand Valley HBGV's vision is to eliminate the unwanted condition of homelessness in the Grand Valley.

La visión de HBGV es eliminar la situación de la falta de vivienda en el Gran Valle. To Donate: please visit our website at https://homewardboundgv.org/donate We currently house 200+ people per night, providing more than 40,000 bed nights for men, women, and children experiencing homelessness each year. Additionally, we offer transitional programs and collaborate with other local organizations to

support families and individuals on their path home. Originally formed in 1998 as the Grand Junction Community Homeless Shelter by a coalition including St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, The Grand Junction Housing Authority, The Salvation Army and Grand Valley Catholic Outreach in response to a critical need for winter overnight shelter for the homeless in our community. Today, HomewardBound of the Grand Valley continues to provide services that meet the needs of our most vulnerable citizens.

Hello Everyone!

The summer heat has really been hitting hard this year! ☀️

We’re looking for some community support in order to get our guests here at HomewardBound more weather appropriate clothing! 🩳👕🧢

Our guests are also in need of newer pillows for their beds. 🛏️💤

If you have any gently used and clean pillows or summer clothing that you’d like to donate, please feel free to drop them off at our shelter at 562 29 Road!

As always, we are so grateful for all of the support from our community. Together, we can continue to support our unhoused neighbors as they work to create a path to self sufficiency. We couldn’t do the work we do without you!

☀Temps are already in the 90s and it's only going to get hotter! We need help gathering supplies so our neighbors can stay safe in the heat.

📣We are collecting donations of bug spray, sunscreen, body wipes, toilet paper, chapstick with SPF, reusable metal water bottles, and electrolyte packets.

You can drop your donations at the MAP Distro on Tuesdays from 9am-12pm at 📍402 Grand Ave. (please park and enter off of 4th St. and Ouray Ave.).

🫶You can also make a monetary donation at MutualAidPartners.org!

Esteemed Community Members,

HomewardBound of the Grand Valley will be offering tours of our 29 road facility this summer, and we've set aside a few dates for any individual community members who may be curious about what we do and how they can support us. We have very limited space, so these tours will be first come first serve.
To RSVP, please email [email protected]

Thank you all for your support during our transition. We here at HomewardBound will continue to do everything in our power to continue to serve the most vulnerable of our unhoused population.

Have a great day!

We have an amazing team of Guest Relation Coordinators! These folks are our frontline staff -- responding to guests needs throughout the day and making sure things run smoothly throughout the building. More than that, they are each caring individuals who we are lucky to have on our team! We could not do what we do without them! Thank you to our GRC's for their work and dedication to HomewardBound.
