What a weekend.

Grand Mesa Baseball & Softball would like to extend a huge thank you to Northern Lights Little League from Thornton, Colorado, Orchard Mesa Little League, and Colorado River Valley Little League for an incredible Memorial Day weekend of baseball here in Grand Junction.

From the Major and Intermediate divisions to Junior and Senior Baseball, the level of competition, sportsmanship, and camaraderie on display all weekend was outstanding. More importantly, it gave these players an opportunity to create memories that will last far beyond the final scores.

There’s something special about bringing together programs from different parts of Colorado for great baseball during JUCO week. The atmosphere, the friendships formed, the long days at the ballpark, and the experience of sharing the game together is what youth baseball is all about.

Thank you to all of the players, coaches, families, umpires, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the weekend possible. We especially appreciate Northern Lights making the trip across the state, and we cannot wait to return the favor in a few weeks.

Great baseball. Great people. Great memories.

Because of their courage, sacrifice, and selflessness, we are able to enjoy moments like baseball under the lights, time with family, and the freedoms we often take for granted.

Today is bigger than the game.

Last Night, our Grand Mesa Junior and Senior Baseball players once again had the opportunity to be part of one of Grand Junction’s greatest traditions as they helped with flag hanging and stadium dressing for the NJCAA JUCO World Series. 🇺🇸⚾

We want to sincerely thank the Grand Junction Baseball Committee and the Alpine Bank NJCAA JUCO World Series for continuing to include our players in this experience year after year. Moments like these allow our athletes to give back, take pride in their community, and be part of something much bigger than themselves.

For many of these players, JUCO isn’t just a tournament. It’s part of what inspired their love for the game growing up right here in Grand Junction. Being able to help prepare the stadium for teams and fans from across the country is something they genuinely look forward to every season.

We’re proud of these young men and thankful for the partnership, support, and opportunities the JUCO World Series continues to provide for local youth baseball.
