We share the books and know-how. You turn pages into possibilities. Together, we grow curious, lifelong readers. ❤️📖✨ to May.

BOOK BAG ROTATION: Through partnerships with 95 preschool classrooms, 1,800 children receive a weekly book bag with four books. Books are kept for a week, returned, and then replaced with four more - ongoing from Oct. FAMILY LITERACY NIGHTS: Parents attend these sessions to receive guidance on building their child's literacy and reading readiness through book-sharing at home. RAISING A READER OUTREACH: Our outreach centers provide weekly book bags and guidance to low-income families whose children do not attend a preschool or childcare program. BLUE BAG LIBRARY DAYS: 70 classroom field trips introduce children to their local library. Each child receives his/her first library card, a new Raising A Reader library book bag and the chance to check out a first book.

We had so much fun at the Trunk or Treat parade in R***e! 🧡🎃📚

Thank you to all our Bolsitas Rojas families who joined us! We loved seeing everyone in their costumes, and our team had a blast dressed as Pete the Cat! 🐱💙

It really takes a village. ❤️📚✨

THANK YOU to all the wonderful organizations, sponsors, and community partners who joined us for our 5th Annual Children’s Arts & Literacy Festival!

Each of you brought something special to the day and helped us create an afternoon full of stories, art, culture and beautiful memories for our families.

We’re so lucky to be part of such an amazing community that always shows up for our kids. Just look at what we can do together!

As one of our volunteers so beautifully put it, “We’re not just doing this for our children. We’re doing it for the future.” 🫶🎉📖

There’s something so special about watching a child meet the person who wrote the book they’re holding in their little hands! 🥹❤️📚

A heartfelt thank-you to Andrea Campos, Nikki Beinstein, Rachel Funez, Cari Shurman, Deborah Holt Williams, and Kathy Hegberg for sharing your stories, crafts, fun activities, and so much love with our families.

Thank you for inspiring our little readers to dream big! 💭📚✨

🎉 A BIG shoutout to Taquería El Yaqui for generously donating 600 tacos during our Children’s Arts & Literacy Festival! 🥹🌮❤️

Thank you for feeding our families and making the day extra special. 👏🫶

Please go show El Yaqui some love. Next time you’re craving delicious tacos or other Mexican dishes, stop by and support this wonderful small business that gives so much back to our community.

¡Mil gracias, Martha and the whole El Yaqui team! 🙌

Saturday was one for the books! 📚🥹❤️🎉

So much joy, so many sweet moments, and a whole lot of LOVE!

We couldn’t have done it without our incredible volunteers, donors, sponsors, authors, vendors, community partners, Board of Directors, and the wonderful Garfield County Public Library District and Glenwood Springs Library teams!

And to every family who joined us, YOU are the heart of this festival. 🫶

We’re feeling extra lucky to be part of a community that shows up for our little readers! 👏💖
