This annual event honors a great husband, father, son, brother, and friend. It keeps his memory alive by showing what a hard working, dedicated man he was.

The James Davies Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to participants of Judi's House, another Colorado non-profit for grieving children and families. For anyone who has lost someone, like our family lost James, this place was a safe haven for us to go and share. As my husband was a very hard working and dedicated man, my goal is to offer opportunity, in the form of scholarships, to past or present attendees of Judi's House. As losing a loved one can be painful, these scholarships provides an opportunity to keep living and pursue dreams even though a loved one may no longer be with us.

Thank you to all who support our cause and came out to golf! I got to meet these scholarship winners at the tournament yesterday. It’s amazing to me that although we all share loss, we are also all so very grateful. I’m so grateful to have met these students and that our fund can help them with paying for college.

There is still time to apply for the James Davies Memorial Scholarship!

This scholarship was created in memory of James Davies, a Lakewood Police Department agent who was killed in the line of duty. The scholarship provides four $4,000 scholarships to past Judi's House participants of any age who are currently enrolled in a two or four year Colorado college or university.

An annual golf tournament has been held starting in June of 2013 to help raise funds for this event. Thanks to Wrigley's Bar & Grill and Applewood Golf Course in Golden, CO for helping to organize this event on behalf of a wonderful man.

We are now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 James Davies Memorial Scholarship! Applications are for participants of Judi's House and have the opportunity to win one of four $4,000 scholarships to the Colorado college or university that they are attending. It's that time of year again! The James Davies Memorial Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications from Judi's House participants for the 2026/2027 scholarships! We are giving away four $4,000 scholarships to those who have attended a Judi's House program and lost a loved one, just like our family did. We are also requesting hole sponsorships and golfers for our upcoming annual fundraising event coming up on Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at Applewood Golf Course and Wrigley's Bar & Grill. Please visit our website or reach out to me for more information.
