A stronger community starts with neighbors having the support they need to thrive.

At LIFT-UP, we see every day how access to nutritious food and essential resources makes a difference for local families. That’s why we support YES on 1A for the Healthy Community Fund, which supports LIFT-UP and other vital organizations serving our valley. This funding helps organizations like ours provide food, essential resources, and services that our neighbors rely on—strengthening the network of care that helps our community thrive.

Misty Briscoe-Garcia’s Story:

“A Little Time Behind Bars for a Whole Lot of Good! I’m trading my freedom for fundraising as part of Locked Up for LIFT-UP, a silly meaningful event bringing our community together to make a positive impact. The mission is simple: I’ll be “locked up” and counting on my friends, family, colleagues, and community to help raise my bail—all in support of a great cause. It’s about showing up for others, lifting up our neighbors, and proving that when a community comes together, even the smallest contributions can make a big difference. I need your help to make bail! Whether you donate a little or a lot, every dollar brings me one step closer to freedom and, more importantly, helps support a mission that matters. Let’s have some fun, raise some money, and make a difference together! Help bail me out... I love orange ... but I don’t like wearing the same outfit everyday.”

Emily Essig’s Story:

“OUR TOWN HAS A BIG PROBLEM.

She’s got a Subaru, a Costco membership, and no business being this close to the general public. She cuts the four-way stop like it’s the Daytona 500. She lets her dog off-leash and calls it “living it’s best life”. And she’s been known to reply-all to emails that absolutely did NOT require a reply-all! The children are traumatized. The neighbors have formed a support group. Even the Subaru is looking for a new owner.

Help keep this menace behind bars! We’re asking you to do your civic duty: DONATE TO LIFT-UP!

Click the link for her “bail money”. Just kidding - there’s no bail money. The link goes to LIFT-UP, our local food nonprofit, and we’re raising donations to fight hunger while rooting for justice to run its course. Because nothing says public safety like full pantires and fewer hungry neighbors. Groceries should be accessible, neighbors deserve support, and nobody should have to share the trails with her kind of energy.”
