Our team recently met with community members in Meeker to share more about our work and the impact we’re making across our communities.

YouthZone serves young people and families from Aspen to Parachute to Meeker, and we prioritize meeting with the youth we serve in person. Building relationships, showing up, and being a trusted adult can make all the difference in a young person’s life.

❤️ The impact of showing up matters.

Becca, one of our incredible Youth Advocates, shared these heartfelt reflections from a young person as they completed their time with YouthZone.

One of the most meaningful parts of our work is watching young people take accountability, recognize areas where they want to grow, and put what they’ve learned into practice in their everyday lives.

At her exit meeting, this young person shared an important lesson: we never really know what someone else is going through, so it’s important to lead with kindness instead of judgment. She also reflected on thinking before reacting and recognizing that not every disagreement is worth fighting over.

We’re so proud of the growth she’s made and grateful to Becca for the support, guidance, and connection she provided along the way. These are the moments that remind us why this work matters. ❤️
