Lets get acquainted! My kiddo is 31 year old male w/autism diagnosed at 5 years old. Back in Texas we have found ABA, speech, music and equine therapy to be extremely helpful. Here in the Valley we are trying to navigate new opportunities. Im happy to share that Ascendigo has really developed some new opportunities that are affordable and meaningful to our young adults on the spectrum. They have added day programs such as jewelry making, pickleball, role playing, leaf peeping/hiking, clay /pottery.Additionally, they have also added evening activities (at a truly minimal cost) such as blanket making, bowling, role playing and a weekly cooking club!! Meals are also included in these activities.
We are not on a Colorado waiver program, so we are currently private pay but it has been less than what I was paying for care in Texas. If you are on a waiver program, they can accept those funds! If its been awhile since you’ve considered Ascendigo, I’d suggest reaching out to Kelly Hoffman. They have really come a long way, growing beyond their original extreme sports camps. They are also working on opening their first womens home!!! Hope for long term residential living is on the horizon!
