😻🐾Collaborating with FACT for a great cause.

Neutering a cat has such an impact.
Did you know:
One unneutered male cat can potentially father a dozen kittens in a year and, with access to enough females, hundreds of kittens in one year!!!
Here’s the goal:

One male cat. One neuter. Countless unwanted litters prevented. 🐾

FPS cat neuter clinic offers a practical way to prevent suffering before it starts:

🐈 Fewer unwanted kittens will be born into homelessness, hunger, and unsafe conditions.

There will be less pressure on the local rescues, and foster homes, leaving more resources for animals already waiting for help.

A neutered male cat is a healthier cat. They are safer cats with reduced mating-driven roaming, fighting, and spraying. There will be fewer opportunities for injuries and infections associated with those behaviors.

👍💰This collaborative effort provides access for families and colony caregivers who want to do the right thing but struggle with the cost.

For Warren and Washington Counties, where animal placement is already a constant challenge, prevention is essential. A neuter clinic is an investment in fewer animals needing rescue—and a healthier community for everyone🙏🐾

We are hoping one day that Paws and Hooves Alliance, Inc. can get the community support needed to raise funds to develop Warren Washington County Animal Shelter, where affordable spay and neuter clinics will be a routine service for the community 😊🐾

💜💚 Learning, connecting, and bringing it back to our recovery community! 💚💜

Some of the Hope & Healing team had the opportunity to attend the 11th Annual ReCon New York State Recovery Conference presented by Friends of Recovery New York!

Conferences like this are so much more than a day away from the office. They give us the opportunity to learn about new resources, connect with other people doing this work across New York State, share experiences, and stay informed about the changes happening in the recovery center world around us.

We’re always looking for ways to grow, improve, and make sure the people who walk through our doors have access to the most current resources and support possible. 💜

We’re grateful for the conversations, connections, ideas, and new knowledge we’re bringing home with us because when we grow, our recovery community grows with us.

Here’s to continuing to learn, connect, advocate, and build recovery together! 🫶

Our Wellness Wanderers went on another adventure today!

This time we tackled Severance Mountain, a short hike with a gorgeous view and an interesting beginning (two tunnels underneath I-87).

Every hike we take, we are reminded of the beauty of this area around us and the healing power of nature.

We are greatly looking forward to next month's excursion!

🐾💜 We came to BHSN’s 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat with some REAL tricks and some seriously sweet treats! 🎃🍬

Hope & Healing Recovery Community and Outreach Center brought the creativity tonight with our Crazy Cat Lady & Cat duo! 🐈‍⬛🐾

McKenzie went full-on crazy cat lady, while Drew was the purr-fect cat companion! 😹 And because no cat-themed Trunk or Treat would be complete without a little litter box humor… we served up cat “poops” made from rolled-up Tootsie Rolls tucked into Rice Krispie “cat litter,” along with candy scooped up and served straight from our trusty cat scoopers! 🐱💩🍫

We had so much fun getting creative, connecting with our community, and bringing a little Hope & Healing spirit to the festivities. 💜

Thank you, BHSN, for another fantastic Trunk or Treat! We’re already plotting next year’s shenanigans… 😼🎃

💪🎉 SOBER FUN, BIG CHALLENGES, AND EVEN BIGGER LAUGHS! 🎉💪

Our sober outing to ADK Extreme was one for the books! 🙌 We got to watch everyone face their fears, step outside their comfort zones, and push themselves through new challenges — all while sharing laughs, encouraging one another, and having an absolute blast! 💚

Not only was it an amazing opportunity to build confidence and challenge ourselves, but it was also a GREAT workout! 😂💪 Let’s just say we definitely got our exercise in and went home tired!

These are the moments that remind us recovery is about so much more than staying sober. It’s about making memories, building connections, trying new things, and discovering just how much fun life in recovery can be! ❤️

We recover together, we grow together, and we have fun together! 🌟

Today, we wear loud and proud for the victims and survivors of domestic violence in our communities. For those who are still finding their voice, those who have escaped, and those who are continuing to heal.

Let’s stand together, speak up, raise awareness, and remind every survivor that their story matters and their life has value.
