We are hosting some pride programs at the end of the month geared toward the LGBTQIA+ community, but all are welcome!
We are highlighting these programs because often times the outdoors have not been welcoming place to this community. We have plenty of programs for everyone. 😌 Check out our calendar for tons of other programs in case this doesn’t interest you.

All programs require registration by calling 518-793-0511.

Birding with pride!:
Join an educator this pride month for a slow start-and-stop hike to learn about what birds are flying around Moreau Lake State Park. Beginner to expert birders are welcome. We have limited number of binoculars to borrow and have sunscreen and bug spray to share.

Nature is a rainbow pride walk:
Come join an educator this pride month for a walk to explore the beautiful colors in nature. This is a free hike that will be a short walk of about 2 miles around back pond at Moreau Lake State Park. We will meet at the park office and caravan to the trailhead.

Happy Pride Month! This June, we're celebrating a legacy of love and advocacy.

The Ernest O. Reaugh Advised Fund for LGBTQIA+ Advocacy honors Ernest "Ernie" Reaugh (1923–1991), a champion of gay rights and the fight against AIDS at the state and national levels. His legacy lives on through grants that fund organizations advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights right here in our Capital Region.

This year, the fund awarded grants to Collar City Pride, In Our Own Voices, Lower Adirondack Pride, Together for Youth, and WMHT Public Media, organizations creating safe spaces, fostering understanding, amplifying diverse voices, and providing critical resources to LGBTQIA+ community members.
