What a blast! If there’s one thing we learned from our Halloween party, it’s that this community is down for anything! The absolute highlight was our mummy-wrapping contest. Seeing everyone dive in, race the clock, and get totally wrapped up in the spirit (and the toilet paper!) was pure gold. A huge thank you to all our amazing residents for bringing the laughs and the energy! We couldn't ask for a better crew to celebrate with!

We were back at the Gail Borden Library for Glitz, Glam & Gorgeous, part 2. This unbelievable collection of iconic costumes worn by movie stars in major motion pictures wowed us as much as before. We loved the designs, fabrics, colors and coinciding clips from the movies where the costumes were worn. An exquisite exhibit!

The Windmill Weekly is a bi-weekly, student-run local newspaper in Batavia, Illinois, created by high school founder Bryan Wnek and his team to bring accessible, large-print local news and puzzles directly to seniors in retirement communities. Today, Bryan visited our community to speak with us about the newspaper's mission and answer questions from our residents! What a remarkable kid!!

Our residents had a spooktacular afternoon getting creative with some air-dry clay! We rolled, draped, and sculpted our very own ghost tea light holders. Every single creation turned out so unique! It was a fantastic afternoon full of laughs and great conversations.

Batavia Library has a wonderful program for Seniors, The Sweet Life After 50. Yesterday’s program was held at the West cemetery with a historian from the Depot Museum discussing the history of the cemetery and its inhabitants. It was quite fascinating.
