Where There's a Will, There's a Cure was founded by the family of William Richard Whiston. However, the challenge with any medical research project is funding.

Where There's a Will There's a Cure is an all volunteer not for profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization and its purpose is to raise funds for research to find a cure for Myotubular Myopathy (MTM) It is an all volunteer not for profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization and its purpose is to raise funds for research to find a cure for Myotubular Myopathy. A cure for such a rare and devastating disease may sound like a dream or an unrealistic hope. But it is our dream and hope that William and other children with MTM will someday be able to lead normal lives. Exciting research with the MTMI gene is currently underway with very promising results. We welcome you to join us in our journey to cure Myotubular Myopathy.
