Food for Health

Food for Health Food for Health is a local nonprofit serving the Fox Valley with free organic meals for people facing health challenges.

Through volunteers, teen culinary training, gardens, and nutrition education, we strengthen our community with care and connection. Facing a health crisis can turn everyday routines upside down. When life feels overwhelming, preparing nourishing meals often becomes difficult to manage. At Food for Health, we support individuals and families during these times by preparing and delivering fresh, org

anic meals made with care. Our menus focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods such as seasonal vegetables, fruits, responsibly sourced proteins, and thoughtfully prepared recipes designed to nourish and sustain. Thanks to the volunteer gardeners and community partners, much of our produce is grown organically and harvested specifically for our meals. Each dish reflects the time, care, and generosity of the people who make this work possible. Beyond meals, Food for Health is committed to education and connection. Through teen culinary training, gardening, and nutrition education, we help build lifelong skills and raise awareness about the role food plays in overall well-being while strengthening our community one meal at a time.

The Food for Health garden volunteers have been working hard all summer, caring for and maintaining our organic garden. This morning, they harvested some of the beautiful crops growing in the garden—including carrots, kale, tomatoes, celery, beans, and more!🥕🥬🍅

All of this fresh produce will be used in meals throughout the week. We’re so grateful for our dedicated volunteers and all the time and care they put into helping our garden!

Volunteer Opportunity: Kitchen Mentor

Do you love being in the kitchen? Would you enjoy sharing your love of cooking with teens while helping make a difference in our community?

We'd love to have you join Rachel and our team of mentors on Tuesdays from 3-5:30pm.

Our mentors work alongside Teen Chefs to prepare nutritious meals that are then donated free of charge to people in our community who are dealing with a health crisis.

We'd love to have you join our team. Contact Carrie at [email protected] if interested.

Fresh, colorful, and full of flavor. 💚

The kale, beets and carrots were grown in the Food for Health garden, then paired with crunchy pumpkin seeds and our bright carrot ginger dressing.

Did you know Kale is an excellent source of lutein and vitamins A, C and K, and a good source of vitamin B-6 and calcium?
