Farm Bureau is a voice for farmers and others who have a vested interest in agriculture. Our mission is to “Enhance the quality of life for member families, promote all aspects of agriculture and advocate good stewardship of our land and resources”. To achieve that, many member services developed over the years. As these services were added, non-farmers were given access to Farm Bureau services. Country Mutual and Country Preferred insurance services are two such services available only to Farm Bureau members. They are services that evolved from a need other insurers were unwilling to underwrite 75 years ago. As an insurance company formed to insure farmers, Country Mutual and Country Preferred stay true to that original mission today by insuring only those who show their support for farms and farmers by their membership in a county Farm Bureau. 🌾Local Farmer Update!

We recently sat down with Joseph at White Farms to talk about what harvest looks like on their farm, some of the challenges they face, and what he enjoys most about this time of year.

Take a few minutes to hear directly from a local farmer and learn more about what goes into bringing crops from the field to our everyday lives.

🐝🍯 A little buzz about our latest educator PD!

Teachers joined us for Behind Every Bite: Bees, Honey & Pollination to learn about the important role bees play in pollination and the many products we get from bees.

The evening wrapped up with a fun honey tasting, where teachers sampled honeys from different regions and seasons and even got to try raw pollen! Teachers also left with a new book and resources to bring what they learned back to their classrooms📚

A big THANK YOU to Sherri with the Fox Valley Beekeepers Association for sharing her knowledge and to Sturdy Shelter Brewing for hosting us! 🐝
