Cal's Angels

Cal's Angels Leading Chicagoland Pediatric Cancer Foundation with a mission to grant wishes, raise awareness, and fund research to help kids fighting cancer.

Cal’s Angels is a St. Charles, Illinois based 501(c)(3) pediatric cancer foundation established in 2007 by Tom and Stacey Sutter after losing their oldest son Cal to leukemia in 2006. During his treatment, Cal always cared about others before himself. Cal’s kindness inspired Tom and Stacey to start a foundation that would grant wishes, raise awareness and fund research to help kids fighting cancer

“12 Oaks has been a literal GAME changer for my kids ... The organization has allowed two of my daughters to continue doing what they love while taking away some of the financial strain that comes with club sports. Without them, and the girls teams, we wouldn’t be cheering loudly with our fighter from the sidelines.”

This note from one of our Cal’s moms reminds us how many parts of life get put on hold for the entire family.

Supporting siblings is deeply important to us. Through the 12 Oaks Activities Assistance Program, we help cover the costs of sports and extracurricular activities for kids battling pediatric cancer and their siblings, giving families one less thing to worry about.

Every child deserves the chance to keep being a kid, and every sibling deserves to feel seen, supported, and important in this fight too.

Not every opponent wears a jersey.

Cullen is taking this baseball season off to face a bigger one: leukemia. But at this year’s St Charles Baseball Strike Out Cancer Tournament, he still took the mound and threw out the first pitch.

This year’s tournament was our biggest yet. Hundreds of kids filled the fields, playing the game they love. And as we watched them run, swing, cheer, and laugh, we thought of our All-Star Cal, and all our children sitting in hospital rooms who would give anything to trade chemo days for game days.

So we'll keep showing up: For Cullen, for Cal, for all our kids.

Let's strike out cancer.

Angels in Action: Wish Granted 💫

Meet Madelyn, 3, bravely battling B-ALL leukemia. Madelyn wished for a trampoline to enjoy in her backyard, and now she’s jumping for joy.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up for our families and helps make wishes like Madelyn’s possible. 💛

What a weekend at the ballpark. ⚾️💛

A huge thank you to St Charles Baseball for hosting the 5th Annual Strikeout Cancer Baseball Tournament and raising over $6,700 for Cal’s Angels.

This year was the biggest one yet, bringing together 36 teams across 5 age groups, plus hundreds of players, families, coaches, volunteers, and supporters, all showing up for kids fighting cancer.

One of the weekend’s coolest moments was Chicago Cubs fan favorite Albert Almora joining as a coach and taking time to sign autographs for the kids.

And of course, special shoutout to our Cal’s Angels MVPs Cullen, Ryan, and their families.

To every sponsor, volunteer, coach, and family who helps make this tournament happen year after year: thank you for stepping up to the plate for a cause that's so much bigger than baseball.

We’ve seen the sign-up sheet… and somehow your name isn’t on it yet. 👀

Maybe Tom’s borrowed reading glasses missed it. Maybe the fish mittens distracted everyone. Either way, this is your sign to sign up!

More Than Fore isn't your average golf outing. It’s the kind of day people talk about all summer. And this year, it's open to the public!

- Great golf at the beautiful Elgin Country Club
- Unlimited beer & seltzer on the course
- Laugh out loud games with your favorite people
- And every foursome helps families fighting pediatric cancer

If you’ve been thinking about it, this is the time to grab your foursome before spots fill up. Don't miss out!
