We are saddened to announce the passing of one of the most incredible men we have ever known and who most of you will instantly recognize as our Festivals striking Drum Major, organizing and leading the Mass Bands into the field to open each of our festivals.

David Ricklis was extremely well known in the community and was a regal presence at festivals, parades, and other Celtic events showcasing our culture and heritage to the public

He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him, most of all those who had the honor of calling him a friend.

His was a life well lived.

May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rains fall soft upon your fields.

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
