The Global Z Recording Project seeks to serve and improve the socio-cultural good of mankind by embracing diversity, encouraging democratic practices, fostering dialogue, and promoting peace through out-of-the-box, educational, youth-oriented music-related projects.

All seats for 2026 Suitcase SoundTech have been filled!

We are incredibly excited to see the level of interest from local youth in participating in The Global Z Recording Project's 2-day, Introduction to Audio Production workshop - we even hit our waitlist capacity! For those who would like to participate next year, keep an eye out for event announcements in June and July. Hopefully we can secure the funds needed to purchase additional computers, which would allow us to increase the number of seats available for our 2027 session.

2026 Carroll Creek Unplugged Preparations Underway...

Global Z is gearing up for this Memorial Day Weekend's fun/educational, community-building, music performance event, "Carroll Creek Unplugged (CCU)." A student house band leads all community musicians through the performance of 12 popular songs at the beautiful Carroll Creek Amphitheater. Last year we opened the event to vocalists and acoustic stringed instruments. This year, we are expanding our musician player list to include brass instruments! Tomorrow the band and our audio engineers have our first dress rehearsal, with space provided graciously by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Frederick. The gear is packed, strapped, and ready for transport.

This year's CCU promises to be a great deal of fun! Stay tuned for more information...
