Did you know that 1 in 5 of our Frederick County residents surveyed reported having a hard time with their mental health for at least 7 days in the last month?

Many people told us they feel shame or embarrassment about these feelings. We want to change that!

Mental health is health, no matter who you are. By talking openly about our journeys, we can tear down the stigma that keeps people feeling alone.

Our Share Your Story project is here to demystify mental health and highlight all the great help available right here in Frederick County.

You are not alone, and your story matters.

You are not alone, and your health matters. πŸ’™

Meet Kathleen Siedor, a dedicated member of our Mental Health Workgroup!

Kathleen believes that mental health is the foundation of a thriving community. In her work with youth arts organizations, she has seen how safe spaces and trusted adults can truly transform a person’s life. She joined our workgroup to help make sure everyone in Frederick County has access to mental health support.

Many people think they have to wait for a big emergency before they ask for help, but we want to change that. We’re working to build a community where every neighbor can easily find the support they need.

How you can help: Join our Mental Health workgroup! Your voice can help us make it easier for everyone to get care today.
