KICIT KIC-IT strives to provide a network of support & empowerment for Johnson County youth ages 16-25. All calls will be monitored Monday - Friday 9 am-5pm.

KIC-IT is the only transitional housing program in Johnson County. KIC-IT strives to provide a network of support and empowerment for Johnson County youth ages 16-25 to break the cycle of homelessness and promote independence through partnerships with local schools, churches, social service agencies and community members. This month will we be hosting a graduation party for some of our clients who weren't able to have a celebration on their own. 🥳👨‍🎓
We want these graduates to feel loved and supported and we need your help to do it! Here is how you can get involved:
✉️ Mail a card with words of encouragement or congratulations to us or drop it off at our office by 6/15 so our clients can receive them in time. Last year, reading the cards was our client's favorite part of the party!
🎈 Donate any 2026 graduation decor in good condition to our office.

Although Mental Health Awareness Month is over, mental health remains a huge barrier to housing for our clients. When they have untreated mental health diagnoses it can be extremely difficult for them to care for themselves and work on the necessary steps to achieve stable housing. Thanks to a grant from Drug Free Johnson County. Our mental health specialist-Sydney MSW, LSW, is able to meet with clients while they wait for long term therapy. Every month she helps more youth struggling with their mental health and helping them on this difficult journey. 🧠🌟
