The Wall That Heals is a 375-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The exhibit consists of The Wall That Heals replica along with a mobile Education Center. Once the wal

l is in place in Franklin, it will be available to the public free of charge 24 hours a day from 12:01 a.m. Thursday, June 3 through 2 p.m. Sunday, June 6 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, 250 Fairground St., Franklin, IN. The effort to bring the wall to Franklin is 100 percent donation driven and volunteer based. This is a neat opportunity on Tuesday.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier replica will be on display for a day of gratitude and remembrance tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Former tomb guard, Sergeant Matt Kreeb, will be sharing his experiences serving at Arlington National Cemetery. Visit the exhibit at Trafalgar Indiana Memorial.

The Wall That Heals opening ceremony featured the reading of the names of those Johnson County residents who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. Come see the Wall, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 24 hours a day until the exhibit closes at 2 p.m. Sunday. Enter the Johnson County Fairgrounds off of U.S. 31 in Franklin and look for the white tents. There is no charge to park or see the wall.

Here is The Wall That Heals schedule for the next several days at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, 250 Fairground St., Franklin:
Wednesday, June 2: Wall assembly; Wall available for viewing 24 hours a day once assembled.
Thursday, June 3: 9 a.m. opening ceremony.
Friday, June 4: 9:30 p.m. candlelight vigil.
Saturday, June 5: 1:30 p.m. honor ceremony.
Sunday, June 6: Exhibit closes at 2 p.m.
There is no cost to park, view the wall, or attend the events.
