☀️🎉 Summer Madness is in FULL SWING at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnson County! 🎉☀️

Our members have been busy!

🔬 Our STEM Lab was buzzing with creativity as members explored 3D printing and learned how technology can bring ideas to life.

✨ We combined art and innovation with laser engraving projects, creating unique designs while learning about the technology behind them.

🌈 Outside, we soaked up the sunshine with bubbles, sidewalk chalk masterpieces, games, and plenty of laughter with friends.

💦 Of course, pool days continue to be a summer favorite, helping our members stay active, cool, and make unforgettable memories.

🎩 And to top it all off, we were amazed by a special visit from a magician who left our members laughing, cheering, and wondering, “How did he do that?!”

From STEM and creativity to outdoor fun and new experiences, our Club kids are making the most of every day this summer. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!

🍬🔬 STEM in Action at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnson County! 🌎✨

Our young scientists recently explored the fascinating world of freeze-drying in our STEM Lab! While learning how freeze-dried candy gets its crunchy texture, members also discovered the science behind removing moisture and preserving food.

But the lesson went far beyond candy. 🍭➡️🌍

Students learned how freeze-drying is used around the world to reduce food waste, preserve emergency food supplies, support space exploration, and help communities store food longer with less spoilage. By understanding this simple technology, our members saw how innovation can solve real-world problems and make a positive impact on the environment.

From loading trays to asking great scientific questions, our future innovators got hands-on experience with technology that is changing the way we think about food, sustainability, and the future.

Who knew a piece of candy could teach us so much? 💡🍓🚀

Today, our staff member, Jack Lock, is competing in the Indiana State Golf Finals, and the entire Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnson County family is cheering him on! 💙
