​Our Playhouse is temporarily closed while we finish water damage restoration, so in-person programs are paused. Your GiGi's family is still here for you!​

​While the Fort Wayne Playhouse is being restored, you can join GiGi's Virtual Playhouse. It offers FREE online therapeutic, educational and research-based programs for people with Down syndrome of all ages, and you can join from home.​

A look inside GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne today.

Following the recent flood, demolition and restoration work is officially underway. Damaged drywall and flooring are being removed, the space is being dried, and preparations are being made for the next phase of repairs.

It may look a little messy right now, but every piece removed gets us one step closer to rebuilding.

At the same time, our work in Fort Wayne continues. We are actively working to secure temporary community space so we can begin bringing in person programs back while repairs are completed at the Playhouse.

We are grateful for the patience, support and encouragement we have received from the Fort Wayne community. We will continue sharing updates as the restoration progresses and as programming opportunities become available.

GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne is rebuilding, and we look forward to welcoming our families back.

Fort Wayne Playhouse Update

We’re making progress!

Demolition at the Playhouse is expected to take approximately 1 week. Once demolition is complete, drywall replacement, cabinet replacement, and new flooring will begin immediately. We will share another update as soon as we receive a more detailed timeline from the contractor.

In the meantime, our team is actively working to get offsite programming up and running as quickly as possible.

Most importantly, our programs are not cancelled indefinitely. While our Playhouse space may be temporarily closed, we are committed to finding ways to continue serving our participants and families in the community while repairs are underway.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued support as we work to get our Fort Wayne Playhouse back up and running. We can’t wait to welcome everyone home!

WE ARE CLOSED

We have difficult news to share. Due to flooding at our Playhouse, we are closed for the foreseeable future while repairs are made.

The safety of our participants, families, and team is our first priority. We are working to relocate all programming, so please keep an eye on our page for updates on locations and schedules.

Movement and dancing and acting, oh my! Fun times at GiGi's today! GiGiMove Kids and GiGiMove Teens with PT will be at Trine (Union Chapel/69) 5-6p, Dance all ages 5:30-6:15p and Drama Troupe 6:15-7p (at Playhouse). Join in the fun!
