Tree Canopy Growth Fund

Tree Canopy Growth Fund The Tree Canopy Growth Fund fosters community health through urban tree planting and advocacy. Trees are important elements of a healthy urban ecosystem.

Unfortunately, the urban canopy in the Fort Wayne/Allen County, Indiana area has been shrinking in recent years. Inspired by organizations like Root Nashville and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, we aim to collaborate with community stakeholders by offering funding and expertise to grow the community's urban canopy. As Fort Wayne and Allen County continue to grow and develop, maintaining a vibrant urb

an forest will be critical in maintaining a high quality of life. Learn more and consider lending your support at www.tcgfund.org.

More trees can mean more shade, cleaner air, healthier neighborhoods, and a greener future for southeast Fort Wayne.

The Tree Canopy Growth Fund has received a $150,000 contribution from Google to support tree planting initiatives in Southeast Fort Wayne and Adams Township. The local fund, founded in 2022, works with neighborhoods, schools, churches, businesses, and community partners to plant and distribute trees across the greater Fort Wayne area.

For groups with available planting space and a desire to help expand the city’s tree canopy, this new funding could help turn open ground into lasting community benefit: http://dlvr.it/TSLmLr

We have exciting news! 🌳

Google recently contributed $150,000 to the Tree Canopy Growth Fund to support tree planting initiatives in Southeast Fort Wayne and Adams Township!

We are in talks with various potential community partners and welcome conversations with anyone interested in collaborating on tree giveaways and/or planting events.

Thanks to this generous contribution, we will be able to plant hundreds of trees, providing a variety of benefits for generations. Research consistently shows that robust tree canopies lead to happier and healthier people and communities. We are excited to coordinate this impactful investment in Southeast Fort Wayne.

Kudos to Rotary Club of Fort Wayne and Fort Wayne Community Schools on a successful tree planting initiative! 60 native trees planted at 7 school campuses!

We were grateful to play a supporting role to help identify species and locations that would support area students for many generations to come!
