More trees can mean more shade, cleaner air, healthier neighborhoods, and a greener future for southeast Fort Wayne.

The Tree Canopy Growth Fund has received a $150,000 contribution from Google to support tree planting initiatives in Southeast Fort Wayne and Adams Township. The local fund, founded in 2022, works with neighborhoods, schools, churches, businesses, and community partners to plant and distribute trees across the greater Fort Wayne area.

For groups with available planting space and a desire to help expand the city’s tree canopy, this new funding could help turn open ground into lasting community benefit: http://dlvr.it/TSLmLr
