Who We Are

The Democratic Women's Club of Lee County has been active for over 50 years in Fort Myers, Florida. The DWC of Lee County is chartered by the Democratic Women’s Club of Flori-da, Inc., (DWCF), and is a member of the National Federation of Democratic Wom-en’s Clubs. Our membership consists of dynamic Democrats, activists, educators, mothers, elected officials, authors, health care profe

ssionals and candidates. Be as-sured you will meet other Democrats who share your interests! Any Democrat registered in the State of Florida is eligible for membership– we welcome both women and men. What We Do

While helping to elect qualified Democratic candidates is our primary objective, we have committees focusing on important issues such as women’s healthcare, public education, middle-class economic challenges and community outreach. DWC members speak at public meetings, write letters to newspapers, work on campaigns, educate voters and influence our legislators in Tallahassee. We work closely with the local and state Democratic Party. We proudly participate with our local communities to support activities including the:

Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative March each January,
the Dunbar Easter Parade and Lehigh Spring Fest,
activities of the Lee County Democratic Executive Committee (DEC),
Quality Life Center in Fort Myers,
Coalition of Immokalee Workers,
and the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
