I will take a passage from one of my daily readings, “There is a graceful way to be right and many ways to be wrong.” Today I will choose happiness over the need to be right and further, no saying “I told you so” if I am right. Adulting is hard😂. I love you unconditionally 💕

Today I will remember what and who I can control. I can control my attitude and actions. I can’t control others attitude, actions, or timing of their decisions. I have to let go of the notion that I can control anything or anyone but me. I love you unconditionally ❤️

Today I will be honest with my needs and feelings. I often forget to take care of myself, especially in times of stress. I keep my head down and move forward. Moving forward is usually a good thing, unless the move is to mask and ignore the uncomfortable. I needed this to survive in my past, but today I get to feel the uncomfortable and be ok with it. In the past I had to survive, today I get to thrive.

Today I will be present. When I first got sober, I felt worse. This was because instead of numbing, I was feeling. Feeling is uncomfortable…. At first. Learning to be present is a life long gift you give to yourself and the people who GET to be in your life. Thank you for being in my life. I love you unconditionally ❤️

Today I am still working through some insecurities and the need for outside validation. There are times when this comes quickly and times like today, where it is a struggle. I have to remind myself that that I am enough and have nothing to prove. I am enough and have nothing to prove. I am enough and have nothing to prove! Lol say it all day!!

Today I will be one of many. I do not need feel superior at the top of the heap or feel victimized and shameful at the bottom. I will listen thoughtfully, refrain from attention seeking (this one is hard for me😂), and stay curious!
