The Larimer County Fair is over and done for this year. Our EGA chapter sponsors the Grand and Reserve Grand Prizes each year in Open Class Needlework. Congratulations to all the winners. Grand Prize was for the large embroidery piece and the Reserve Grand was for the heart. 32 people entered 53 pieces in the Needlework section.

For months now, 22 stitchers from EGA, CO Needleworkers and Friends of Counted Embroidery have been stitching stars. The patriotic stars are Pamela Kellogg’s Crazy Patriotic Stars, one needlepoint star and the CO stars are member Vicky Hays’ design. The sixty four stars (one for each county in Colorado) will be on display at the Larimer County Fair and at a Colorado exhibit at the Avenir Museum in Ft Collins in the fall. All are backed with denim and stuffed and will go on a ribbon swag. A big thank you to all the stitchers.

Member Vicky Hays just finished this little Petit Project from EGA. Lady Liberty is a free download for members and a nice little project for this time of year. She is sitting on a small bottle so that is why there are waves. The heart is from a class at EGA National Seminar last fall.
