We were so proud to be recognized by the Weld County Department of Human Services for our support of Weld County youth in the foster care system. We are so blessed by this incredible partnership that enables half our campers to come to camp each year. Thank you, Weld County DHS team!
Weld County and Colorado Kids Belong teamed up to celebrate individuals who support children and youth in foster care.
Darell and Deon Hailey were recognized for their work with Royal Family KIDS. The weeklong summer camp has served more than 300 children in foster care.
Scott and Amanda Nix were also honored. The Nix family has opened their home to more than 20 teenagers and sibling groups.
The event was a great reminder that foster care is a community effort. Foster parents, child welfare professionals, local partners, and many others all play a part in helping children and families thrive. Learn how you can get involved at www.weld.gov/go/fostercare.
