Get ready to catch rainbow trout and we will clean and cook on site at this years Outdoor Buddies family day on Sat. June 7th!
We just stocked 12 to 14+inch rainbow trout on one of the Ponds at Swift Ponds!
CYO and JE Dunn finished an ADA accessible bridge that goes right over the center of the newly stocked pond! Those of you in wheel chairs can finally fish from the middle the pond where the plump rainbow trout are!

Outdoor Family days 2025 ! Here is the information! We welcome families with youth and folks with disabilities!
This is a great event for all folks in wheelchairs! There will be track chairs available to use during the event!
We thank Colorado Youth Outdoors for their support to make this event a success!

Wow! We just spent an amazing couple days in the field with the Grey family in Northern Colorado!
Max and his dad came from Arkansas with an invitation from Outdoor Buddies in hopes of harvesting his first pronghorn ! Max filled his license with all the grace and precision of a seasoned outdoorsman!
Max has battled life threatening medical issues for the past years as a result of them and has some physical disabilities that he continues to overcome! He does this with his stead fast belief in God as well as the tremendous support of his mom ,Dad and family!
Nothing holds Max back and he proves that disabilities are NOT inabilities! Cactus Max, you Rock!(I will let Max share the story about the cactus)
We could all learn a lot by taking page out of Max’s book life which I’m convinced is a bible!
This outdoor adventure was made posible by the CPWs Outreach program for youth and Novice hunters as well as
Scheels at Johnstown donated hunting equipment so these new outdoorsmen and women can continue their outdoor quests for years to come!
I’m sure Max and his father will be writing an artical for the Outdoor Buddies newsletter to share the complete story of this outdoor adventure! You can see that on the Outdoor Buddies website at Outdoorbuddies.org
