Thank you to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker for standing up for transgender people at a time when too many leaders are choosing silence or political convenience.

Families are paying attention. LGBTQ+ people are paying attention. Allies are paying attention.

Leadership matters, and so does the courage to protect vulnerable communities when it counts most.

In a time when many companies are quietly backing away from LGBTQ+ visibility and inclusion, some businesses are still choosing to publicly stand for dignity, safety, and equality.

That's why we wrote a new Substack article called:

“Companies Still Choosing Inclusion”

It explores why visible support still matters — especially for transgender people — and includes a growing list of companies that have publicly supported LGBTQ+ inclusion through workplace protections, healthcare access, advocacy, employee support programs, and public engagement.

This is not about claiming companies are perfect.

It’s about recognizing that inclusion has real-world impact:

• helping LGBTQ+ employees feel safer
• normalizing dignity and belonging
• encouraging other businesses to do better
• reminding LGBTQ+ people they are not alone

The article also talks about the difference between performative allyship and meaningful support and why many LGBTQ+ people notice who continues showing up when things become difficult.

We hope this becomes a helpful resource for LGBTQ+ people, parents, allies, and anyone who wants to support businesses working toward inclusion.

The Board of Larimer County Commissioners today proclaimed June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Larimer County at their regular Administrative Matters meeting today.

We strive to work toward our nation’s promise of equality, inclusion, acceptance, and justice for everyone. Larimer County supports its LGBTQ+ Pride community and to feel proud of who you are.

The celebration of Pride Month originates from the June, 28, 1969, police raid on the Stonewall Inn in New York City and the subsequent five-day protests and reactions from the LGBTQ+ community. +Pride
