Our Community Building Looks Beautiful... But the Siding Tells a Different Story.

Thanks to Linda Phipps Sims for keeping the lawn mowed and looking great! And, to the rest of the Extension Homemakers' members who clean and care for our Community Building. Because of all their hardwork, the grounds have never looked better!

But if you look a little closer, you'll see that our 1915 building is in need of attention.

Over the years, the building's siding has become, brittle, cracked, loose, damaged, and weathered. Unfortunately, it's more than cosmetic problems. While the building still stands strong, it's time to show this historic landmark some love. Our club's goal is to ensure that it's around for future generations.

We recently received a quote of $35,000 to:
✅ Replace the existing siding with high-quality insulated vinyl siding
✅ Tighten and secure screws in the metal roof
✅ Improve the building's appearance and energy efficiency

The good news is that because of the incredibly generous donation during last year's window fundraiser, we still have $16,000 from the window project available to apply toward the siding.

That means we only need to raise approximately $19,000 more to make this project a reality.

For more than 110 years, the Savoy Community Building has served as a gathering place for our community. With your help, we can preserve this historic building and keep it serving Savoy for many more years.
