Today as I celebrate my birthday! 🎂 I received this beautiful gift in the form of an email from one of the families we served this past week.

“Just wanted to circle back and say thank you again! We used one of the bottles and it carried us through a few feedings until my wife's milk came in more the next morning.
What I really wanted to say at pickup is that people don't realize how important this service is unless they've needed it. Without donor milk, we wouldn't have had another safe option and that matters more than I can put into words.”

It’s a beautiful day to give 2 families donor milk! AND… We want to wish everyone a happy Indigenous Milk Medicine Week!

We have so much to celebrate here at Milk Run Bridge Bags.
Since we started Milk Run 14 months ago we have supported 88 babies in their Milk Medicine journey! With 120 Milk Runs! PLUS out of these 88 babies, 67 of them were exclusively being provided breastmilk when their families reached out to us. Thanks to this bridge bag program we helped these families continue to meet their breastfeeding goals. 🩷🤱🏻🤱🤱🏽🤱🏿

We are not stopping here! Stay tuned for some more exciting news coming soon!

Thank you Fargo and Mayor Boschee for publicly recognizing World Breastfeeding Week and August as World Breastfeeding Month.

Josh Boschee has proclaimed August 2026 as National Breastfeeding Month, with World Breastfeeding Week recognized August 1-7, in The City of Fargo.

Supporting families is a priority for Fargo, including access to environments that promote healthy lifestyles and informed infant feeding choices. Breastfeeding is a proven public health strategy that supports lifelong health and development for both infants and mothers — lowering rates of childhood obesity, diabetes and infections, and reducing maternal risk of certain cancers, type 2 diabetes and hypertension.

Families are more likely to reach their breastfeeding goals when supported by healthcare providers, employers and community systems that embrace lactation-friendly environments. A breastfeeding-friendly community welcomes families of all races and structures and works to remove barriers through education, policy and cultural support.

We are so proud to share our current Milk Depot numbers for the MN Milk Bank! Every ounce collected here represents countless hours of dedication, love, and sacrifice from mothers in our community. These donations are more than milk - they are gifts of time, energy, and compassion that directly support fragile infants in our area.

We are honored to be part of a community that shows up in such a powerful way. Thank you to every mother who has taken the time to pump, store, and share this precious resource. Your effort makes a life-changing difference, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Together we are building a legacy of care, one drop at a time 🩵

This week, we recognize all those impacted by the far-too-common experience of birth trauma and acknowledge the real and lasting impact that traumatic birth experiences can have for parents, children, and families.

Up to one in three birthing people describe their birth experience as traumatic, and roughly one in six experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress. Those affected most often point to the same root causes: a loss of control during labor and delivery, and a lack of communication or emotional support.

At BFUSA, we are committed to supporting facilities in providing the compassionate, evidence-based, whole-person care every parent deserves, before, during, and after their birth.
