Catholic Charities of Yolo-Solano (CCYOSO) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving the people of Solano and Yolo counties. The agency is organized exclusively for charitable purposes to serve the poor, the elderly, the
needy, the oppressed, the vulnerable, the immigrant and those in spiritual or material need. Inspired by the rich tradition of the Seven Principles of Catholic Social Teaching, with a special commitment or “option to serve the poor”, we work for a just, compassionate society that supports the dignity of all individuals and families, reduces the causes and results of poverty, and strives to build healthy communities through social service programs. Catholic Charities of Solano provides services without regard to race, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical disability, marital status, national origin, or age. The agency is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento and shares charitable service commitments with Northern Valley Social Services, based in Redding, and with Food Bank and Family Services of Sacramento. CSS is a member of Catholic Charities of California and Catholic Charities of America. Catholic Charities of Yolo-Solano serves individuals and families in the community who are unable to meet their own basic needs due to financial hardship, cultural barriers, disability, frailty, or inability to access adequate social support. We offer health and social service programs that contribute to individuals’ and families’ freedom and independence, while always valuing the dignity of human life and the importance of family. Scope of Services: Catholic Charities of Yolo-Solano offers programs and services under four divisions: Family Assistance; New Pathways Counseling; Immigration Services; and Friendship Services. Services are provided from the home office in Vallejo and in the cities of Fairfield, Vacaville and Benicia.
