To mark the five-year anniversary of this unprecedented seabird rescue effort, "Saving a Generation: The Long Beach Harbor Seabird Nesting Crisis" revisits the response that unfolded after thousands of Elegant Terns unexpectedly nested on barges in Long Beach Harbor.
In Part 3, Bird Rescue and partners take on the next challenge: developing innovative floating platforms for chicks that had fallen from the barges, while finding a way to get the growing birds in care back to the colony before migration.
