The Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, Northern Solano Lodge do more than foster friendships and promote Italian heritage and culture. We do more than host some of the finest fundraising events (Columbus Day Dinner and Crab Feed) in Solano County. We also contribute to our community through financial support for local charities, schools, and scholarships as well as provide ‘time and energy’ to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties.

Because our lodge members dedicate that 'time and energy' each month, we extend a heartfelt appreciation to them for their commitment and service. 💚🤍❤️👏🏽

Mother's Day,
Italian Scholarship Recipients,
and Memorial Day.

All were rightfully acknowledged at our May's lodge meeting this past Thursday. It was indeed a lovely spring evening for the Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, Northern Solano Lodge and theirs guests.

The room was filled with vibrant decorations, lively conversations, warm greetings, and joyful laughter. Ray Bini, President of the Virgilio Lodge and State Deputy, attended and mingled with fellow brothers and sisters.

We dedicated time to recognize our Italian scholarship recipients:

Aiden Buffa, recipient of the Anselmo Canova Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Sophia Hines, recipient of the Richard Tracy Memorial Scholarship

We extend our best wishes to them as they embark on their new journeys.

We look forward to hosting our June lodge meeting, and hope to see you all again as we will acknowledge Father's Day, Flag Day, and yes, two more Italian scholarship recipients.

Spring.
I planted a garden.

Spring has arrived, and last night, The Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, Northern Solano Lodge, leaped into a joyful celebration of camaraderie and connection.

The tables displayed 'spring' flair as lodge brothers and sisters enjoyed a delightful meal of Chicken Marsala. Kudos to the kitchen crew. 👏🏽

We were thrilled to host potential new members along with our very own esteemed State Deputy and President of the Virgilio Lodge, Ray Bini. Thank you, Ray, for your encouraging words. We truly appreciate you and for all that you have done and continue to do for us, your fellow brothers and sisters.

This new year - 2026 - is rapidly moving forward. Can you believe it's March already?!

And because it's March, the Sons & Daughters of Italy in America, Northern Solano lodge served a scrumptious - and I truly mean SCRUMPTIOUS - traditional Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner, complete with all the side dish trimmings. ☘️

A 'Cultural Minute' slide presentation was delivered, focusing on St. Patrick and St. Joseph.

Did you know that St Patrick's parents were Roman citizens which is why you should include the colors of white and red to your green? 🇮🇹

Did you know that St. Joseph's Day (March 19th) is Father's Day in Italy? 🥸

It was a pleasure to have guests, Frank Lagorio and Vinny Lagorio, from the OSDIA, Napa Lodge.

Volunteers from the Sons & Daughters of Italy in America, Northern Solano Lodge, generously shared their talents and time to prepare and to serve a delightful traditional Irish feast for those who attended the 'Luck of the Irish Luncheon' at the Fairfield Adult Recreation Center this past week.

February: Murillo's of Vacaville

Every month, a group from the Sons & Daughters of Italy in America, Northern Solano Lodge comes together to enjoy good food, great company, and lively conversation at our 'Lunch Bunch' meetups. This informal gathering offers the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow members outside of the usual lodge meetings.

Accept our open invitation to relax and to enjoy a meal. We rotate between Fairfield and Vacaville restaurants as well as a variety of cuisines. 🍽

Flowers and candy adorned the tables, and love filled the air at the Sons & Daughters of Italy in America, Northern Solano Lodge's February meeting. 💘

Our very own, Juanita Stopponi, was honored with a Letter of Appreciation from the lodge for her commitment and contributions towards the lodge. Great job, Juanita!
