From all of us at SANE-SART β€” THANK YOU to every partner who showed up and showed out at such a meaningful meeting. πŸ’™

This is just the beginning of an important countywide conversation about working collaboratively to end human trafficking in Solano County β€” and seeing this community come together gives us so much hope.

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to the leadership of Solano County for making this initiative a priority and taking the time to be present. Your commitment from the top sets the tone for real, lasting change. πŸ™πŸΎ

A very special thank you to Sgt Holli, Vallejo Police Department and to Sharan Dhaka, South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking for the countless hours spent planning and organizing such a wonderful event. None of this happens without your dedication and heart. πŸ™πŸΎ

Together, we are stronger. Together, we will make Solano County safer for everyone. Let's get to work. ✊

Meet Victor.

To some, he may look like a cartoon lion on the walls of our Courage Centers.

To us, he is so much more.

Victor the Lion was named after a young boy named Victor, who showed extraordinary courage when he told trusted adults about the abuse he and his younger sister were experiencing. Their abuser was a relative living in their home. Because Victor found the strength to speak up, he and his sister were protected and kept safe.

Today, Victor the Lion serves as a reminder to every child who walks through our doors that courage comes in many forms.

A lion was chosen because lions represent what we hope every child feels while they are here:

🦁 Brave, even when they are scared.
🦁 Strong, even when they don't feel strong.
🦁 Protected, safe, and supported.
🦁 A reminder that healing and courage can exist together.

Every day, children enter our Courage Centers carrying stories they never should have had to live through. Victor reminds them that they are not alone, that their voices matter, and that there are people ready to listen, believe, and help.

Because sometimes the bravest thing a child can do is tell someone.

And sometimes, that courage changes everything.

✨ BIG news and an even BIGGER thank you! ✨

Soroptimist International of Central Solano County has made a powerful $4,500 donation in support of victim services for women and girls in our community β€” and we are beyond grateful! πŸ’œ

What makes this gift even more meaningful is the partnership behind it. These are women who GET IT. Women who show up, who give back, and who refuse to look away from the needs in our community. That kind of shared commitment is rare β€” and we treasure it.

To every member of Soroptimist of Central Solano: THANK YOU. Your generosity fuels our work and gives hope to those we serve. πŸ•ŠοΈ

Tiny reminder for your Wednesday πŸ’œπŸš

Sometimes life gets noisy, blurry, overwhelming. But there’s one thing we hope always stays in focus:

✨ You matter. ✨

Thankful to stand alongside a community at the Out of the Darkness Walk that continues to remind people they are seen, valued, supported, and never alone.

At SANE-SART, we believe even the smallest reminders can carry the biggest meaning.

We walked it out and talked it out. πŸ’œπŸ‘Ÿ

SANE-SART was proud to join the IHART Mental Health Walk & Run in Vallejo, helping raise awareness for mental health, connection, and community support.

Events like this are an important reminder that healing can happen in conversation, in movement, and in simply showing up for one another. Thank you to everyone who walked beside us and continues to advocate for mental health awareness in our communities.

Together, we keep moving forward. 🀍

Sometimes self care does not have to be complicated.

Sometimes it looks like stepping outside, soaking up the sunshine, moving your body, laughing with people who make you feel safe, and taking a break from the noise for a little while. A simple walk with friends can shift your mood, calm your mind, and remind you that connection matters.

At SANE-SART, we know mental health is not just about surviving difficult moments. It is also about creating space for healing, community, and care in the everyday moments too.

Take the walk. Send the text. Meet the friend. Breathe the fresh air. Small steps still count.🌿
