Happy 60th Birthday to Past President Sheila🎉

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone—Sheila’s 60th birthday!

Thank you, Sheila, for all you do to make our community a better place. Through your work with the school district, your dedication to Rotary, and your involvement with the Fairfield Community Services Foundation, you continue to touch lives and make a difference in so many ways.

You truly exemplify Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self, and everything you do is another wonderful example of Creating Lasting Impact! 💙💛

Wishing you a fabulous 60th birthday and many more years of making a difference! We hope you enjoyed your delicious birthday cake made by Rotarian Janelle.

DG Woody Fridae! Another Great Day in Rotary! 💙💛

We were honored to welcome our District Governor as our guest speaker today! He shared his inspiring LN-4 Project, which provides prosthetic hands to those in need, giving them greater independence and improving their quality of life. Our club presented DG Woody with a $1,000 check for this project.

One particularly touching story came from his visit to Cambodia earlier this year, where he fitted a man who had been without both hands for 40 years with a prosthetic hand. Imagine the difference this one act of kindness will make in his life!

This is what Rotary is all about—Service Above Self and Creating Lasting Impact! 🌎❤️

Our District Governor also recognized Rotarian Janelle with a well-deserved “Quiet Volunteer” pin, honoring her dedication and service behind the scenes. President June was also presented with a District 5160 banner.

A wonderful day of inspiration, recognition, and a reminder that even the smallest acts of service can change lives forever!

People of Action, making a difference one hand and one heart at a time! 💙💛

Service Above Self in Action — Creating Lasting Impact!

When I put out the call for volunteers to help Meals on Wheels, they answered without hesitation! Together, we filled 750 Halloween goodie bags and signed hundreds of Halloween cards to bring a little extra joy to their clients. And we accomplished it all in just ONE hour!

This is what Service Above Self is all about — giving our time, sharing our hearts, and making a difference in the lives of others.

Creating lasting impact doesn’t always require grand gestures. Sometimes it’s the simple acts of kindness that remind people they are remembered, valued, and cared for.

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who showed up and made this happen. When we come together to serve, there’s no limit to the good we can do! ❤️

Service Above Self isn’t just a motto — it’s something we live!

Our Rotarians Are On Their Way! 🌎✈️

Our fellow Rotarians are headed to Rotary One Center in Evanston, Illinois! From September 27–29, they’ll have the opportunity to explore Rotary’s history, leadership, worldwide impact, and so much more.

What will they discover? 👀 Follow along we post highlights, fun finds and Rotary history!

During their visit, they’ll explore:

• Room 711 — a reproduction of the office where the very first Rotary club meeting was held in downtown Chicago in 1905
• An exhibit showcasing how The Rotary Foundation helps members turn ideas into action around the world
• The Arch Klumph Society Gallery, honoring major contributors to The Rotary Foundation
• An interactive space highlighting Rotary’s milestones, leaders, and vision
• The Rotary Boardroom and the Office of the President

We’re excited for them to experience Rotary’s history firsthand and bring back new ideas and inspiration to share with the Rotary Club of Cordelia. 💙💛

Safe travels! ✈️ We can’t wait to post and hear all about the experience!
