Today for a Rotary service day, President Pam, Rotarians June, Janelle & Rob, and Honorary Rotarian Cathy Villarreal, bagged hundreds of apples at the Food Bank.

Our speaker today was Nate Huntington, the Solano Resilience Manager for Greenbelt Alliance, a member of the Solano Together Coalition. The Solano Together Coalition was formed in 2023 to envision a better future for our region that focuses development into existing cities and strengthens our agricultural industry.

At Greenbelt Alliance, Nate has supported community engagement for the Solano Bayshore Resiliency project, which is preparing a sea level rise vulnerability assessment and adaptation plan. He has also served as steering committee member for the Napa-Solano Table for the California Jobs First initiative, and is a part of the Vallejo Great Communities Collaborative.

He titled his talk “Solano Together: Protecting Solano County from California Forever.”
