🌟 BVL AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT: DEB MORTON 🇺🇸🎳

Meet Deb Morton, a proud Army veteran, dedicated bowler, and passionate BVL Ambassador who believes in giving back to those who have served our country! Deb is a director of the Ada County USBC and the Gutter Gussies organization, and bowls in three leagues.

As a veteran herself, with two grandfathers who also served, Deb has a personal connection to the mission. She became a BVL Ambassador because she wanted to give back to those who served before her, alongside her, and after her. In one of the photos featured in this spotlight, Deb is wrapped in a beautiful Quilts of Valor quilt, a symbol of gratitude and honor for our nation's heroes.

One of Deb's biggest goals is to raise awareness about the needs of our veterans and inspire young bowlers to make a difference. She's especially proud that her son joins her every year to bowl in their BVL tournament!

Color for a Cause & Fuel Mission 2 Million! 🎨🎳🚀🇺🇸

Looking for a fun, creative way to get youth bowlers involved in supporting our nation’s heroes? Our Mission 2 Million Youth Coloring Sheet makes giving back interactive and rewarding!

How it works:

1. Kids ask family, friends, and league members to sponsor a section of their sheet with small $5 or $10 donations.

2. Each section gets colored in as donations are made to help launch the rocket! 🚀

3. All funds raised go directly toward brightening veterans' lives through recreational therapy, adaptive sports gear, and service dogs.

It’s an incredible activity for youth leagues, Saturday morning programs, and fall bowling events!

Happy 251st Birthday to the United States Navy! ⚓️🇺🇸⚓️

Today, we honor the brave men and women who have stood the watch, past and present, protecting our oceans, defending our freedom, and serving our nation with honor, courage, and commitment. From aircraft carriers on the high seas to naval veterans resting and recovering right here at home, BVL is proud to support our Navy heroes through life-changing recreational therapy, adaptive equipment, and wellness programs.

To all Sailors, Veterans, and Navy families: thank you for your service and sacrifice. Fair winds and following seas!

Can a quilt heal a heart after 45 years? 🧵❤️🇺🇸

Through a recent $1,500 BVL grant to Quilts of Valor, 200 veterans received handmade quilts designed to bring warmth, dignity, and deep emotional healing.

One double Purple Heart Vietnam veteran shared that holding his quilt helped "heal his heart and take away the bitterness" after decades. Another noted that his quilt provides essential grounding during PTSD episodes.
