There’s something about the that always tugs on your heart strings!

As we learn the stories of the athletes moving into the competition finals, we want to share the story of sailing legend Santiago Lange (). Santiago was on a roll winning medals in the Olympics when he was diagnosed with lung cancer mere months before the 2016 Rio games. He underwent surgery, kept training, and went on to win gold with his crew mate. This determination certainly paid off for Lange.

Lange said that the nine months leading up to the Olympics was the most demanding of his career, emphasizing the importance of overcoming adversity. This is such a powerful reminder to persevere, and to keep doing what you love, even when the road ahead is uncertain.

The world’s best volleyball athletes are gathering at the Paris 2024 today! 🏅

In the spirit of overcoming challenges: we want to highlight the Olympic medalist, Rachael Adams (). In 2016, she faced adversity, yet her determination and strength helped her become a starting middle blocker on the US Olympic volleyball team.

Her journey embodies the strength of the metastatic breast cancer community. Just like Rachael, these individuals bravely navigate immense challenges to live their lives to the fullest and inspire us all to never give up on our dreams.
