Fran is a single mother and lives with her 3 children in the Amazon region of Brazil. She is a survivor of domestic abuse and was kept as ‘prisoner’ in her own home by her husband for many years. She was able to escape with her children a few months back, go to the police and her husband is now in jail. Fran and the boys are now living in a shack and deal with significant water issues.

This is our first project in this region with Pastor Ozenildo (Ozzy) and his wife Shirlei (pictured in the green shirts). The PF team got to spend significant time with them last February and tour the community. They have a thriving church and are excited to pour into this family and see how God uses the homes for His glory! Please keep Fran and her boys in your prayers as construction begins.

John and Monica are a married couple who live with their son, Julius, and their two granddaughters. Although they have other children, those children are not well-educated and are currently seeking casual labor elsewhere. The family lives in a modest mud house with a dirt floor and an outside kitchen also made of mud. It causes some breathing and other health issues.

They rely on farming for both their food and income. The two granddaughters attend a public school in Thome, and their mother, had a difficult time and disappeared for a couple of years, leaving the children in the care of their grandmother. Julius, the son, has also faced challenges, including complications with one of his legs, which now requires him to use a walking stick. A new home will provide stable ground for Julius and a solid future for the granddaughters.

Meet our newest home recipients in Kenya! Gladys is a 54-year-old widow who lost her husband about ten years ago. After his passing, the family moved from Kasarani to a piece of land in Eburu that her husband had purchased. Without the breadwinner, Gladys and her children, who now include two daughters, one son, and four grandchildren, tried to settle on that land and begin farming to sustain themselves.

However, they faced several challenges, including discovering that the initial plot they started building on was incorrect. This forced them to stop construction and move again. Eventually, they settled on the correct land, but it was rocky and required a lot of manual labor to clear for farming. Gladys and her family built a modest mud house with two rooms—a bedroom and a sitting room—and they cook with firewood in an outdoor kitchen. They are excited for a new home and Gladys is hopeful for how it will provide security and blessings not only for her grandchildren but for generations to come.

Praising God for the latest update from .heart.cry on the land we helped them to secure during Covid to address food insecurity in the region. The praises to date: 24 acres have been developed, 200 bags of cassava have been harvested and it created more than 40 jobs for men and women in the community! 🙌🏻

JHC shares: “Paradigm Foundation’s seed investment enabled Julie’s Heart Cry (JHC) to acquire and begin developing a 24-acre cassava farm in Bimon Village, Central African Republic. This investment laid the foundation for long-term food security, local employment, community trust, and measurable gospel impact. Over a two-year development period, the project has progressed from land acquisition to active harvest, while also supporting spiritual and community transformation initiatives.”

Please continue to pray for this community and the efforts of .heart.cry . God is being glorified and fruit is being multiplied!

Margaret planted a small patch of grass in the location where she was asking God to provide a safe new home. She then prayed over it daily as a demonstration of her faith. Seven years later God answered. 🌱

At the dedication of Francis and Margaret’s new home this past weekend, Pastor Daniel Kariuki shared a powerful testimony of faith, drawing from Mark 9:23: “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Nine months before the family received the joyful news of getting a house, Margaret had approached Pastor Daniel in tears after part of their mud home had collapsed, asking for prayer. When their lead pastor heard of their situation, he traveled all the way from Nairobi to Eburru (2 hour trip) to pray over the family. After praying, he spoke words of faith over Margaret, assuring her that because of their belief, everything had been surrendered into God’s hands.

Today, that prayer has become a living testimony.
Francis shared how unbelievable it feels that the home once made of mud and old clothing is now a beautiful stone house—a blessing beyond what he imagined:
“Now my children will be living in safety. Now my children will not experience hardships.”

Truly, we stand in awe of what God is doing through Paradigm Foundation. Every testimony reminds us that faith moves mountains, God answers prayer, and hope does not disappoint. May this home be a continual reminder that when we trust God, He does exceedingly more than we can ask or imagine.

Be encouraged—your faith has power, and God is still writing beautiful stories! All for His glory! THANK YOU for helping us to build hope and serve those living in extreme poverty around the world!

Building Hope.

Paradigm Foundation is a faith-based nonprofit launched in 2014 to address the physical needs of the ultra-poor, those who lack the basic necessity of a shelter. The ministry’s initial efforts to increase dignified living are focused in the Dominican Republic and now Kenya, with the goal to build homes around the world.

Aiming to provide a safe and healthy living environment, families who are chosen by their community will receive a new, fully furnished home complete with electricity, plumbing, and clean water. While it is important to build stronger physical foundations for families in need we also believe it is important to strengthen spiritual foundations. We do this by partnering and working through the local church to identify and select the most in need in their respective community. These churches will continue to serve and walk with the family long after the build is complete.

“For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.” Hebrews 3:4
