Audubon Kids Zone believes that when you invest in kids, their families, and the neighborhood where they live, you build a community where kids want to stay to re-invest once they grow up. At their best, facilitators fade into the background. They create space where people feel seen and heard, guide groups toward shared understanding, and help ideas take shape into collective action. If you have ever experienced excellent facilitation, you have seen the quiet magic it brings to a room.

A facilitator is not the expert in the room or the decision maker. Instead, they serve as a guide who helps the group move through a process effectively.

When done well, facilitation becomes almost invisible, aligning all of the pieces, and leaving behind something far more visible: neighbors connected, resources mobilized, ownership of vision, and collective action.

Neighborhoods are always changing and LYN Practitioners are always learning, adapting, shaping, and being shaped by what's happening in their neighborhoods.

Bryce with the Dream Center team is intentional about looking for invitations into the lives of neighbors. When we're proximate to one another, especially neighbors with different lived experiences, we have opportunities to learn and grow.

Congrats to our very own, Andi Miles, for 5 years at Community One! 👏

Andi serves as our Mobilization Director, where she gets to coordinate with churches, organizations, businesses, and individuals to connect them as volunteers into our work. Her role revolves around the heartbeat of our organization—people, relationships, and tangible acts of love!

She's a fun, friendly face in and out of the office, and is always showing up for team mates. Her ideas bring a fresh variety into the work, and she's always willing to try something new to improve people's experiences with our work. We're thankful for the listening ear and encouragement she gives in the office.

Give Andi a big congrats! 🎊
