For today's Meet The Cast, we begin to meet the understudies for STAGEtwo Productions Presents Recent Tragic Events by Craig Wright

First up is Sam Adamson who is the understudy for Waverly

Sam is so excited to have gotten a chance to understudy a character like Waverly. While Sam is no stranger to theatre, having having stage-managed many shows including STAGEtwo's own “Hand to God” and “Airness”, she is still getting used to the acting side of things, with being able to pop on stage this summer in the Glitter and Grits “What We Keep Quiet”.

When she’s not at the theatre, she works at an elementary school as a librarian. She would like to thank her friends and family, both blood and theatre family, for being there for her throughout all of these crazy adventures. She would also like to thank the cast and crew, and her fellow understudies, for being such a warm and welcoming presence always.

Whats her favorite kind of pizza?

She’s a simple girl when it comes to pizza, a nice cheese pizza with a good crust is always her favorite. She also doesn’t mind a margarita pizza from time to time!

Just 2 weeks until our first show of the season, Recent Tragic Events. Up next for our Meet The Cast is Linus McKinney who plays Andrew.

Linus is thrilled to be back for another show at STAGEtwo! Some of his favorite past roles include Rocky in The Rocky Horror Show, Sandy in The Man Who Came to Dinner, and Valentine Coverly in Arcadia. He also regularly performs with Evansville Shakespeare Players and The Evansville Civic Theatre.

When he’s not onstage, Linus studies English Literature at the University of Southern Indiana and works as a library assistant outside of class. Linus has too many hobbies to list, but he recently enjoyed helping to organize a fantasy football league with several of his favorite people from theatre. Linus is excited to perform in Recent Tragic Events because it combines three of his favorite things: books, historical events, and puppetry!

Linus’s favorite pizza is the West Sider from Spankey’s with extra ham. According to him, it’s “genuinely a generational experience”

Today we meet Rachel Ivie, who plays Nancy & Joyce Carol Oates in Recent Tragic Events.

Rachel Ivie is a recent graduate of Ball State University where she accomplished a BFA in Theatre with a focus in Acting. She is from Henderson, Kentucky but she proudly represents all her friends and family from Evansville! She recently had her professional debut of Jen Blackmer’s Borrowed Babies (Shelly) at the American Lives Theatre in Indianapolis. She also recently wrote and directed her own one-person show, I Love The Smiths, as a part of Ball State’s Acting Program’s senior capstone show, Does Anybody Know Anything About the Difference Between One Thing and Another? A Soup in Eight Parts.

Big thanks to the cast and crew of Recent Tragic Events for creating such an amazing and timely piece of art!

Today, we say goodbye to an icon. From Pennywise and Wadsworth to Nigel Thornberry and so many more, Tim Curry gave us unforgettable characters.

But the role nearest and dearest to our hearts will always be Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

STAGEtwo is the House that Rocky built, and Tim will forever be part of the Rocky Horror legacy. This year, we will raise our cups...or our fishnets...in his honor.

It's time to Meet the Cast of STAGEtwo Productions Presents Recent Tragic Events by Craig Wright!

First up is Lillie Blankenship who is playing Waverly, a young woman who is stuck between a blind date and worrying about her sister.

Lillie is so excited to be doing another show with S2! Her favorites so far have been playing Kate Monster in Ave Q, Maureen in RENT, Ilse in Spring Awakening, Georgie in The Full Monty, Jeanie in Hair, and multiple characters in The Rocky Horror Show! She has also enjoyed Stage Managing for S2 during Let The Right One In and Burnt Around The Edges.

Her other favorite roles in the community have been Emilia in Two Noble Kinsmen, Celia in As You Like It, Miranda in The Tempest, Guiderius in Cymbeline, and SMing in Pericles with Evansville Shakespeare Players.

Outside of theater, she works for Deaconess Health Systems as a surgery auditor. She is also a dog mom to the best babies, Nomi and Rosie. She would like to thank everyone in her theater family who has supported and lifted her up to become the person she is today.

We know what Waverly wants on her pizza, but what about Lillie?

We are also so amazed at the level of talent we see at auditions and HOLY WOW you all were AMAZING! s always, you brought incredible talent and enthusiasm to the room, making our decisions exceptionally challenging. Thank you for sharing your outstanding work with us. Your creativity, effort, and dedication are truly appreciated.

For those not cast, we would LOVE to have you back for more auditions at STAGEtwo and for more Rockys in the future—we would be so lucky to have you! We were impressed with what you brought into the room! Be on the lookout for audition announcements!PLEASE COME BACK TO US!
